Dimedium Winter Academy 2025: A Deep Dive into Senior Pet Health Recently, Estonian veterinarians gathered for the 9th annual Dimedium Winter Academy—a beloved tradition where veterinarians tackle the most pressing topics in veterinary medicine. This year, we focused on the health challenges of senior pets. Over two intensive days, we explored: ✔️ The most common age-related diseases in animals ✔️ Best practices for geriatric check-ups—what to look for and how to approach them ✔️ Mental health issues in elderly pets and how to support them ✔️ Nutrition dilemmas when multiple health conditions require different feeding strategies ✔️ Managing senior pet conditions like cancer, kidney disease, osteoarthritis, and cardiovascular & respiratory issues The sessions were case-based and discussion-driven, providing practical insights for our daily work. The event culminated in a thought-provoking panel discussion: “How to Handle This?”, where we discussed how to better support aging pets and their owners. 💙 A huge thank you to our incredible lecturers, dedicated participants, and our inspiring host, Tiina Toomet—together, we created something truly special! #DimediumWinterAcademy #VeterinaryMedicine #SeniorPetHealth #Veterinarians

The annual highlight for Estonian veterinarians, Veterinary Medicine 2024, recently brought all Estonian veterinarians together again. Dimedium was proud to sponsor this year’s conference by being represented in four booths showcasing VetPlus, small animal care, livestock solutions, and our exciting new partner, Antech. Over two inspiring days, veterinarians attended seminars, explored innovations in veterinary medicine, and connected with our knowledgeable small and large animal teams. In the VetPlus area, our pet product specialist, Inga, shared insights into both beloved and new VetPlus products. A special highlight of the event was the evening of the first day, when we continued our tradition of presenting the Dimedium Mission Award. This year, the award went to Julija Abram, whose dedication and care shine through in her contributions to the Estonian Veterinary Association and FECAVA, her leadership in podcasts, her representation of veterinarians in the media, and her advocacy for their mental health. Since 2010, the Dimedium Mission Prize has celebrated remarkable individuals, companies, or initiatives that significantly advance animal health or veterinary medicine. It’s an honor to support and recognize those who make a real difference for the well-being of animals!

Last week, Dimedium Lithuania participated in the country's largest agricultural exhibition, "What you sow... 2024." Our livestock team greatly enjoyed welcoming all visitors, engaging with those interested in Dimedium and our Smart Farm brand portfolio, and having the opportunity to present our latest news in person. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth!

We proudly present the Dimedium Estonia Employee of the Year - Heitti Irval! Heitti is a spirited Pan-Baltic Smart Farm project manager who never leaves things half-done or undone. Last year, he successfully kept Smart Farm on track despite the challenging situation in the agricultural sector and the falling milk prices. In addition to leading the Smart Farm team and its activities, Heitti is also Dimedium's expert in aquaculture and fish feed. His sales results for fish feed last year were truly impressive: Dimedium Estonia's fish feed sales hit an all-time high! Well done, Heitti. We wish you strength and endurance for your future endeavors!
